Frozen sculptures where created in order to study the concept of the Frozen Void ice building -project. The project was a collaboration between Kivi & Tuuli Sotamaa and Brazilian sculptor Ernesto Neto. The idea was to repeat a simple process which generates space inside a solid six times in order to create a series of objects, each of which is distinct due to the inherently random aspects of the process. The glass sculptures where made by hand blowing air into a mass of glass.
