MoA Festival
Description
MoA, Masters of Arts ( http://www.mastersofarts.fi ), is a yearly festival of urban culture organized by the University of Art and Design Helsinki (http://www.uiah.fi). Tuuli Sotamaa has since 2003 worked for the University and is the producer of the event.
MoA is organized around an extensive, juried diploma work exhibition of the new graduates. It is held in the premises of the University, in the Media Centre Lume (http://www.lume.fi/) located in Arabianranta - the hub of creative talent in Helsinki.
The festival is for design, architecture, media, and art and comprises a variety of additional programs: seminars, film screenings, fashion shows, discussions, parties and clubs.
The MoA degree exhibition showcases the latest visions and fresh ideas of the graduates in fields such as art, cinema, design, photography, graphic design, fashion and many others. MoA makes the the whole stream of the Universty’s talent visible. It is an open window of creative passion on society and the future.
MoA is a space of possibilities and reveals its final form always in May.
