Tuuli Sotamaa
Short biography
Tuuli Sotamaa [1974] is a designer and cultural producer with Masters degree in design from the University of Art and Design Helsinki. She has also studied Industrial Design at the Central Saint Martins College of Graphic and Industrial Design in London. Tuuli is the principal of SOTAMAA DESIGN and was a founding partner of OCEAN NORTH and one of the principals untill 2006 and has previously worked for Alessi FAO s.p.a. in Italy.
Tuuli Sotamaa is currently the Head of Exhibitions at the University of Art and Design Helsinki and produces the yearly urban culture event Masters of Arts -festival.
Her portfolio includes artworks, installation design, exhibition architecture, industrial design and design research. Her individual and collaborative work has been exhibited in various galleries, museum and exhibitions in Europe, the US and Asia and she has thought in various schools in Finland, Oslo School of Architecture and Architectural Association in London and lectured in various seminars in Europe and Asia.
